Where is the Mental Health Centre?

Who can call the Mental Health Centre?
Anyone who can speak English can call the Centre, including children, adolescents and adults.
What will I be asked when I call?
You will be asked to give some brief contact information in order to set up an appointment with an appropriate therapist. All information is treated in the strictest confidence.
What kind of therapists work in the centre?
The Clinical Team comprises psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. All are professionally qualified and experienced practitioners. Many have worked and/or studied in the UK and USA.
How much will a consultation cost me?
Many parameters will be considered in determining the cost. A reasonable fee will be charged. The fee will be discussed with your therapist, and no-one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Are there any special services available to children?
Yes. The Children's Team at the Centre comprises a child psychiatrist, child psychologists and educational psychologists. They offer particular testing for specific areas of learning difficulty as well as assessments for behavioural or other problems.
What are the opening hours of the centre?
The Administrative Office for the Centre is open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday. However, therapists also work outside these hours.
Can I have an appointment outside of these hours?
We try to make appointments to suit the client, and some of our therapists offer appointments in the evenings or on Saturdays.
How do I make an appointment?
If you would like to make an appointment, please telephone the office on 02 647 6780 between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm.
Wherever possible we ask all clients to contact the office by telephone in the first instance. Subsequent correspondence
can be conducted by email if convenient, however, the most satisfactory method is to call us initially.
