Help Line Volunteers
Every year thousands of adults and adolescents contact the Community Help Service (CHS) in need of our help. The HELP LINE provides an anonymous and confidential, crisis, support and information service to the English-Speaking community.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
- Good listeners
- Non judgemental
- Empathetic
- Fluent in English
- Have day and evening availability (approx. 10 hours per week)
No previous experience necessary. Following the interview process, comprehensive training and professional supervision are provided.
For more information or to volunteer on the Help Line please call us on 02/647 6780 or email jan4chs@yahoo.com
Please do not mention your application to anyone but those closest to you, as confidentiality and anonymity are essential.
Office Volunteers
A minimum commitment of 2 days per week is ideal. A wish to become part of a small team, involved in many aspects of the organisation, knowledge of office systems and a friendly, sympathetic approach to work are pre-requisites.
If you are interested in volunteering in the office, please call us on 02/647 6780 or email chs@chsbelgium.org. Confidentiality is of course a priority.
