The Situated Behavioural Interventions Method (SBI-Method) aims at providing practical and individualized guidelines to parents of children and teenagers diagnosed with Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety and other executive functions difficulties, to help them succeed in specific daily life situations.
Dear Parent(s),
My name is Dr Bruhl and I am a clinical psychologist with a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology. I am specialised in Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, Anxiety-Based Behaviour and general executive function difficulties in children and adolescents. I am a trained practitioner in CBT, ABA and in most structured behaviour interventions based on cognitive behaviour therapy.
Based on almost 10 years of clinical experience, I have recently developed the "Situated Behaviour Intervention Method" (SBI-Method). This is aimed at training parents who wish to establish an environment where each situational expectation is made clear, understanding, structured and predictable for the child.
The first goal is to enhance good communication and provide children with the best chance to emit expected/adapted behaviours and minimise tantrums, aggression, emotional meltdowns, anxiety and avoidance behaviours.
The second goal of the method is to help children achieve their full potential in all areas of their daily lives (social, emotional, learning, family, etc.).
