Community Help Service is committed to the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and clients. During the current coronavirus situation, we have put in place guidelines which protect our community whilst reducing the impact on our services. This includes reducing our in-office staff and using video conferencing for our meetings and training.

If you visit the Centre as a client, we ask you to follow these rules:

1) Clients must wear a mask at all times whilst visiting the Centre unless explicitly stated by their therapist. They must also sanitise their hands upon entry.

2) Clients should arrive as close to their appointment time as possible and will be greeted at the door by their therapist. The waiting room is not in use.

3) Do not attend your appointment if you develop flu symptoms or respiratory complaints.

4) It is important that should you experience any COVID symptoms or test positive following a visit to our Centre, you notify CHS in writing, especially if your visit occurred within the 2 days prior to your symptoms appearing, so that appropriate action can be taken promptly.

The Community Help Service has a New Home!

We have moved to Avenue des Phalènes 26, 1000 Brussels, and have been open for business there since Monday September 21. The telephone numbers of both the office (02/647 67 80) and Helpline (02/648 40 14) remain the same.

Avenue des Phalènes is a turning off Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, just two blocks down from the ULB campus and on the same side as the university. Street parking is available, although it can be hard to find in busy periods. Click here for the google map.

"This is an important step forward for CHS. The new building, in which CHS for the first time will be the sole tenant, is more spacious than our former home, therefore providing opportunities for an expansion of the services we can offer." - Geoff Brown, Chairman CHS.

Information on public transport and access to our premises:

  • Trams 94 and 25 pass nearby. Until the end of December 2015 the Avenue Buyl part of the normal route is not accessible to trams. During this period a T-bus service operates between Legrand and the Gare du Boondael. The stop you require is "Solbosch".
  • Train: you can connect with the above public transport from both the Gare du Boitsfort and Gare du Boondael.
  • TEC bus 366 (from Court-Saint-Etienne to Ixelles in Brussels): The Avenue l’Orée stop on Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, is only a short walk from Avenue des Phalènes.
  • There is also a Villo! bike station (nr.299, Saint Adrien) at the junction of Avenue des Phalènes and Avenue des Pesage.

There are several steps up to the entrance of the new building. Wheelchair access ramps will be available when required.
