Eighteen runners proudly represented CHS at the 20km de Bruxelles race on May 31, raising nearly €1,500 to support our 24/7 Helpline.

The team’s participation was supported by Darkness Into Light Belgium, a steadfast supporter of the CHS Helpline. Through its annual sunrise walk each May and its commitment to suicide prevention and mental health awareness, Darkness Into Light Belgium has become an important pillar of support for the Helpline and the people who rely upon it.

The runners joined tens of thousands of participants in one of Belgium’s most popular sporting events wearing specially designed CHS running shirts featuring the Helpline’s new, easier-to-remember number – +32 (0)2 616 2626.

The runners came from a variety of backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to supporting the work of CHS. Over the weeks leading up to the race, they donated and collected just short of €1,500 for the Helpline.

The funds raised are a welcome contribution towards the cost of operating the Helpline, which costs around €1,000 each week to run and relies entirely on donations and fundraising activities.

CHS would like to extend its thanks to every member of the team for their dedication, enthusiasm and fundraising efforts. Congratulations to all our runners for crossing the line and for helping to ensure that CHS can continue to be there for those who need support, day and night.
