Community Help Service (CHS) is hiring two part-time Helpline Supervisors to reinforce support for our dedicated team of volunteers at a time of rising call volume from people in emotional distress. Our 24/7 English-language Helpline continues to receive more calls from individuals in Belgium and internationally, including a growing number of young people seeking support.
This is a modestly remunerated role requiring about 20 hours per month and is well-suited to experienced, compassionate mental health professionals looking to make a meaningful contribution in a volunteer-led organisation.
Supervisors play a vital role in training, mentoring, and supporting volunteers, co-chairing Helpline Committee meetings, monitoring service quality, and helping to maintain the wellbeing and resilience of the team.
We’re looking for candidates with:
-
- A degree in psychology, social work, or related field (preferred)
-
- At least five years of clinical experience
-
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
-
- Supervisory or Helpline experience (a plus)
Supervisors are appointed for a renewable three-year term and serve as ex-officio members of the CHS Council.
