Community Help Service (CHS) held its Annual General Meeting on June 16, 2025, combining the meeting for the first time with its annual dinner — a change that proved to be a great success. With a 50% increase in turnout compared to last year’s dinner, the evening reflected the strong engagement and commitment of our CHS community.
At the AGM, members voted to adopt the 2024 Annual Report (read it here) and approve the financial accounts for the year ending December 2024.
A secret-ballot election for Council members ahead of the event saw robust participation, with 55 out of 75 members casting votes. CHS is pleased to welcome nine new members to the Council: John Chalmers, Louise Cogan, Laurent Dans, Junona Klenskriene, Alexander Montague-Sparey, Sarah Przednowek, Therese Shryane, Emily Riley, and Lyn Trystman Gray. Their diverse experience and dedication will be valuable as CHS continues to grow and serve the community.
Following the AGM, more than 60 guests gathered at Joule restaurant at The Mix on Brussels’ Boulevard du Souverain in Brussels for a delightful buffet dinner. Many enjoyed the warm summer evening on the terrace, celebrating CHS’ achievements and shared purpose. This successful evening was a reminder that, while we come together as a community, our mission is to be there for others — so that no one faces mental health challenges alone.
